Support the Future of Chamber Music

About the Project

The Atlanta Chamber Players (ACP) have spent over 40 years bringing the intimacy of chamber music to all Atlanta audiences and need YOUR help to continue the work for another 40 years. Praised by ArtsATL as "...one of the city's most dedicated chamber ensembles" the ACP is the premier ensemble in the metro-Atlanta region, along with the being the oldest and one that is truly "mixed" - bringing piano, brass and woodwinds to the forefront alongside stunning strings. The ACP performs classic works and new compositions of the highest quality and has showcased over 80 world premiere compositions to the metro area and commissions new works every single year.

At each concert you'll hear the talented musicians from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Ballet - and guest musicians with stellar international careers. You'll have the opportunity to read program notes at each concert, written by local scholars, and hear the musicians speak in-depth about the program and their preparation. You'll not have a more intimate experience than we offer!

And not only does the ACP showcase the highest talent and professionalism onstage, but offstage with a dedicated staff highly skilled in their fields of music and administration.

Right now the City of Atlanta's Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs will MATCH your contributions dollar for dollar! There has never been a better time that NOW to make this great an impact to the Atlanta community.

Building the next generation’s audience and reaching out to Atlanta's diverse communities is a cornerstone of the work of the ACP. Our outreach efforts focus on disabled & veteran communities, economically disadvantaged populations, and children - so that all with a passion for live music can experience it with no barrier

The ACP also has a long-standing commitment to the work of living American composers and your contribution will help us to foster the next generation of composers and present their world-premieres right here in Atlanta.

During the 2018-2019 season, we are performing for the general public on five occasions, which includes the Semi-final and Final rounds of the national Rapido! Competition, which seeks out undiscovered composers from across the nation and offers them the chance for incredible performance opportunities and commissions.

Ticket sales cover only a fraction (less than 30%) of the costs to put on a single concert, partly because of our dedication to keeping prices low to ensure the music is accessible to as many people as possible - tickets are just $20, with discounts for students and seniors. We hold an annual free concert as well; this year's free event will take place in the spring at Friendship Baptist Church!

Your gift helps the art form of chamber music to thrive. Music inspires us all, and concerts bring our community together. Please help us ensure that Atlantans can continue to Get Close to the Music!
